BAW - Bolzano Art Weeks

29. September - 8. October 2023

The focus of the third BAW - Bolzano Art Weeks is on playing. The theme "play_ground" recalls the lightness and energy of beginnings. It means that play itself is a heuristic research activity that arises from curiosity, leads to new insights and experiences. But also in the places that can be played. The game typically has only starting points and no end points. It follows basic rules and game instructions, but these can be creatively adapted and sometimes there are set goals, but these are not always achieved.

Cuttings of the Black Spirals

Charles-Antoine Chappuis' exhibition revolves around the shape of the spiral, which has a silent yet overwhelming presence in the cityscape of Bolzano. The artist reflects on this specific shape and allows it to expand through different media, from drawings to textiles; ultimately inviting us to look at our surroundings anew and pay attention to every detail and variation.

"Hotel Life" - a film screening

The film is shown in the now renovated Parkhotel Mondschein. In the Luna Bar or in the park with the hotel's ivy-covered façade in the background.
