Book presentation of the Oilà series, curated by Chiara Alessi and published by Electa

The Oilà book series is dedicated to short, “anti-heroic” biographies of 20th-century women. It tells their stories beyond victimhood or queenly roles – at once personal, political, and universal. Each issue is a small booklet that can be read aloud in about 45 minutes, offering glimpses into the lives, relationships, letters, and works of these women. Oilà is a project to be collected: spanning design, fashion, literature, music, art, architecture, photography, and politics – feminist, experimental, and transformative.

In Bolzano, curator Chiara Alessi and author Lorenza Pieri ("Volevo un regno più grande") will present the series. The talk will be moderated by Greta Marcolongo, founder of Ella – women on stage.
