From September 28 to October 6, the Bolzano Art Week (BAW) will once again take place in Bolzano. This year, it is dedicated to the theme of Wellbeing, Welfare, Welcome, and kicks off with an opening event at Parkhotel Mondschein on September 27th starting at 12 PM.
Under the title "Reflections / Riflessioni," Patrick Rampelotto presents a creative reinterpretation of disposable trophies. By dismantling and reconstructing them into entirely new combinations, he gives the material a new existence, freeing it from its original context. The prefabricated modules, once part of mass-produced trophies, retain their recognizable structure but lose their traditional meaning of victory. Instead, they are transformed into column-like "totems," stripped of their symbolic function. The pure form is challenged through the recombination of basic elements, and the familiar meaning is driven to absurdity. This creative act unlocks the material’s potential and invites the viewer to go beyond traditional boundaries of object interpretation. Rampelotto’s works offer a fascinating reflection on the nature of symbols and the dynamics of artistic transformation.

Additionally, as part of Bolzano Art Week, a workshop with Libri Finti Clandestini will be held at Parkhotel Mondschein. The name translates to "fake clandestine books." This international collective creates books from materials found in abandoned factories, archives, and print shops, exploring forgotten urban spaces in the process.
In the workshop, El Pacino, printer and co-founder of Libri Finti Clandestini, will teach both children and adults the art of bookbinding.
