The guest of the 21st Moontalk is designer Martino Gamper, an internationally influential voice in contemporary design for many years, known for his practice at the intersection of craft, art, architecture, and industrial production.

After completing an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in Merano, Martino Gamper first studied sculpture in Vienna under Michelangelo Pistoletto, as well as product design. Following his master’s degree at the Royal College of Art in London under Ron Arad, he founded his own studio in Hackney, London. He gained international recognition with projects such as 100 Chairs in 100 Days - an experimental exploration of the classic piece of furniture, the chair, and at the same time a critical reflection on throwaway culture.
