The book publication by Decor Walther, under the creative direction of Viviane Hausstein and Marc Krause, was accompanied by Parkhotel Mondschein during this year’s Milan Design Week.
The project explored the hotel as a temporary space between public and private. The two artists sought to give narrative form to this sense of “in-betweenness.” The book follows two figures moving through a fictional hotel, drawing attention to rooms, thresholds, and situations - to the spaces in between. Rather than following a linear storyline, the narrative focuses on (shared) experience, with both figures taking on the role of observers.
The book presentation centered on routines, repetitions, and encounters that shape for example the Parkhotel Mondschein as place of both passage and pause. During the two-day opening, the Luna Bar served its signature Negroni and tiramisù, alongside the newly created Alto Rosé.
